                                        Wigay Cultural Education Park

Operating as an Aboriginal food park and nursery, the Wigay Cultural Education Park is located on a reclaimed landfill site which is owned by Kempsey Shire Council. The Djigay Centre is responsible for the day to day operations of the Park and the Park is used for horticultural and cultural training. The Park is open to the public, and tourists regularly visit the site. Guided tours and Aboriginal food experiences are offered, and there is  souvenir and plant sales.

The benefits to the local community through increased economic activity and the raising of the area's profile to potential visitors throughout Australia would be significant if Wigay Cultural Education Park were to realise its full potential.

Kempsey Council with support from NSW Department of State and Regional Development, NSW Department of Transport and Regional Services (Regional Partnerships), NSW Premier's Department (Community Solutions), has commissioned Inform Projects to provide a range of business development services for Wigay Cultural Education Park.

Project services included:
strategic planning
financial modeling
business planning
interpretation advice
