                                        Australian Transport Museum - Business Plan

Stuart Fereday has completed a major strategic business plan for the proposed Australian Transport Museum in Armidale, for the Armidale Dumaresq Council. The Museum, which has an establishment budget of over $8M, will incorporate a range of innovative business activities to ensure it will be self-funding.

Methodology:
Through the assessment of other museums in Australia and internationally, create a business plan that follows world’s best practice for those institutions that operate on a breakeven and/or potentially, on a profitable basis.

Project Scope
Development of a strategic plan for the next 12 months
Review the feasibility study primary focus to be securing sufficient funding
       strategic partnerships with businesses for corporate sponsorship
Development of a Business Plan covering the next 5 years

Outcomes
SWOT analysis
       conducted with the Armidale Transport Museum Steering Committee and other key stakeholders (eg tourist operators)
       - internal and external factors.
