Lucignano, one of the most outstanding examples of a fortified Tuscan mediaeval village. Casa Terrazza, is just a few steps away from restaurants and cafes. Featuring a large terrace opening off main living area with views of the Val di Chiana.

Casa Terrazza is a 900 year old mediaeval terra tetto (an independent town house) that has just been completely restored using traditional materials and techniques. Much of the furniture is antique Tuscan pieces, other than things one wants to be modern - such as beds, bathrooms, kitchen, central airconditioning and heating!
Casa Terrazza features 4 bedrooms (total sleeping for 7 guests), 2.5 bathrooms, large terrace off main living room, fully equipped kitchen, laundry, garage, fully airconditioned (separate control for each room) ceiling fans, central heating and open fireplace (firewood supplied).
Appartamento Giardino is also available separately or can be jointly booked to provide total accommodation for 11 guests.
All guests will be met by a Lucignese local bilingual speaker (English and Italian). Apart from providing you with information about Lucignano and the surrounding attractions, she will also be you point of contact during your stay should any issues arise.
Lucignano, known as the "Pearl of the Val di Chiana" (Valley of Chiana) retains its complete mediaeval town plan. Viewed from the air, Lucignano is perfectly oval in shape. Casa Terrazza is located in the heart of centro storico, the historic centre! Lucignano is incredibly well located in central Tuscany, exploring all the major historic centres is very straightforward. Florence and Siena are less than an hour away by road, and Cortona and Arezzo are less than 1/2 and hour away. Whilst Lucignano is a very beautiful town, it is not overrun with tourists and for those who wish to try out their Italian language skills, you will find the locals patient and friendly.
Casa Terrazza is located in the outer ring in the town in via Roma. Everything is in walking distance (just metres away from the front door!), whether you want to get morning caffe and cornetti, or have a meal in its many restaurants, or get supplies from the supermercato.
