I had an Enchanted April at Casa Terrazza. The property is a wonderful base to use when exploring Tuscany. But it's more than that, Lucignano is a delightful surprise. When you see it from the approach road it appears on top of the hill like the mythical Brigadoon. Upon approach you find an active close community living a modern life in ancient surroundings.

The house is a gorgeous remodel - leaving elements of the old like exposed brick and beamed ceilings and adding modern plumbing, electricity, and excellent internet. It is also very well fitted with everything one needs to be comfortable like dinnerware for 12 and lots of pots and pans.

Friends and family came to stay during the month I spent at Casa Terrazza. They all really liked the house. One person said it was a wonderful place to get away from the crowds in other hill towns. Lucignano also has good restaurants, banks and good grocery stores so you might be tempted to never leave. My teenage grandchildren were happy to be have a little freedom in a 'safe' town - especially to get gelato at Snoopy's.

I highly recommend the house and the hosts. Stuart and Catherine were very helpful in orienting me to the house and location. When they're absent, their property manager also makes things easy.

Book early - this is going to be a popular property.
